Yoinks Studio — paste any video link, pick a resolution or MP3, and copy the exact yoinks commands for your own terminal

How to use Yoinks Studio

  1. Paste any video link and click Analyse to detect its platform with the real yoinks detector
  2. Pick a resolution from the format picker, or choose audio only MP3, just like the terminal app
  3. Copy the yoinks command or the exact yt-dlp command behind the selected format
  4. Run the copied command in a terminal where yoinks is installed to download the video
  5. Use the CLI Lab to test yoinks arguments, themes and error messages before you run them
  6. Browse the Site Support tab to check which hosts are named and which fall back to yt-dlp
  7. Install with npm install minus g yoinks, or try it once with npx yoinks, on Node 18 or newer

Features

  • Built on the real pablostanley yoinks repo, MIT, version 0.3.1, with its exact platform hosts and detection logic
  • All 9 named platforms verbatim: YouTube, X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Vimeo, Twitch, Reddit and Facebook
  • The real buildChoices format picker: up to 8 heights, mp4 and avc scoring, plus the audio only MP3 choice
  • The real parseArgs CLI grammar: help, version, spaced and equals theme options, and the exact error messages
  • The exact yt-dlp probe and download argument order, output template and progress template from the repo
  • Sample probes for YouTube, X, Instagram and generic sites, clearly labelled as samples, not live results
  • Install and how it works from the README, including the yt-dlp binary fetch and ffmpeg fallback
  • Honest scope: this page plans and builds commands only, it never downloads video, since yt-dlp and ffmpeg need a terminal
