Drone Flight Simulator

Tune the autopilot and watch a quadcopter steady itself.

Drone Flight Simulator — tune PID gains and watch a quadcopter steady itself in a simulator with wind and payload tests!

How to use Drone Flight Simulator

  1. Pick a scenario — Calm hover, Wind gust, Heavy payload, Gentle gains or Aggressive gains.
  2. Move the Kp, Ki and Kd sliders to set the autopilot gains, and set a target height.
  3. Press Run simulation and watch the altitude trace on the chart.
  4. Read the verdict and metrics — settle time, overshoot, steady error and peak height.
  5. Adjust one gain at a time until the drone settles fast with little overshoot.
  6. Download the flight data as CSV or copy the result summary.

Features

  • Live PID altitude simulator with a 20-second flight trace chart and quadcopter diagram
  • Kp, Ki and Kd sliders with plain-language explanations of each term
  • Five preset scenarios: calm hover, wind gust, heavy payload, gentle gains, aggressive gains
  • Flight verdicts with settle time, overshoot, steady error and peak height
  • Plain-language flight theory: lift and thrust, roll pitch and yaw, how an IMU works, what PID does
  • CSV download of the full flight trace and one-click result summary copy
  • Fully client-side and deterministic — same inputs always give the same flight
